Sign-up to join us for a SOAP study on the book of Proverbs beginning 1/1/2020.

How it works: You’ll read a chapter of Proverbs each day in January, with the chapter corresponding to the date (January 1 you’ll read Proverbs 1). We will gather on Monday’s @ Noon (723 W Texas St Durant, OK) to discuss the Word OR for those who are joining remotely you are welcome to tune in daily to the Facebook group and engage with us there. Entourage will use mixed media (social media, podcasts and the monthly gathering to go deeper into Proverbs.)

What you need: Only a bible and a pen! You can order a separate Proverbs journal from Amazon that is handy for something like this but it is not required. I have included the link to it below. 

How to read: SOAP stands for “scripture, observation, application, prayer.” S- read the portion for that day. O- ask the Holy Spirit to show you something that becomes your primary observation.

A- how is there application from that verse for your life in 2020?

P- Pray about what you have learned, specific to your life, family and community or anything else the Lord has impressed upon you! See podcast link below for more on that!

Why to participate: In advent we are celebrating the revelation of Jesus as “the Word made flesh” (John 1) but Jesus is also known as the “wisdom of God” (1 Corinthians 1:24). Studying Proverbs is simple for understand as it is jam packed with instructions for our lives today — but more than that— it has the heart and person of Christ tucked in it and throughout it for those with eyes to see! And that’s our aim in doing this: to become women who walk in wisdom and who recognize the revelation of Christ through scripture.
